The Totino-Grace community recognizes the commitment and sacrifice students and families make to receive a Catholic education, and we realize the value in having an economically diverse student population. Therefore, our goal is to help our students and families meet the cost of a great education.
Providing need-based tuition assistance and non-athletic scholarships is a priorityat Totino-Grace. All TG families are expected to financially contribute towardthe education of their student at some level. Totino-Grace strives to helpfamilies bridge the gap between what they can afford to pay and tuition in a number of ways.
As part of our Lasallian Mission, Totino-Grace awards more than $1,900,000 in tuition assistance to help students and families seeking a TG education. Currently, over40 percent of the student body receives tuition assistance.

Tuition Aid Data Services (TADS) is the company used by Totino-Grace to determine a family's level of financial need. TADS collects a variety of financial information, including income, assets, and expenses, toprovide the TG Financial Aid Committee with information that will assistwith the distribution of available financial aid funds in the most equitableway possible.
All families interested in applying for financial aid are required to complete a TADS application, which includes aprocessing fee. Only those directly involved in the financial aid decision-making process or in its administration are allowed to view TADS applications.
NOTE: All parents are required to submit a TADS application in order for their student to be considered for a financial aidgrant. When a parent does not work – and there are no children of preschool age or younger or aging parents at home – a nominal income will be assigned to the non-working parent.
NOTE:TADS does not give grants or scholarships; they process the forms and provide schools with a tool for allocating their own financial aid.
TADS applications for the 2025-26 school year should be available around October 1.

529 Plans
529 plans can now be used for private high school tuition.
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which was signed into law in December 2017 and became effective January 1, 2018, expanded the ability to use 529 plans to pay for up to $10,000 annually in tuition expenses at private high schools. 529 plans offer tax-free earnings growth and tax-free withdrawals when funds are used to pay for qualified expenses. Prior to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the definition of qualified expenses was limited to costs associated with attendance at an accredited post-secondary institution. While 529 plans offer federal tax-free withdrawals, states are currently reviewing the impact of the federal tax change to determine whether updates to state legislation are required.
