How can we move from this decision to embracing shelter as a fundamental human right? Criminalizing homelessness and positioning the police to be the ones to respond to our nation's affordability crisis is wrong-headed and regressive.

Great Community Development Opportunity with the City of Asheville - this is an important position as our city continues to create and preserve affordable housing, drive smart and sustainable development, and move the needle toward inclusionary zoning. #affordablehousing #communitydevelopment #AVL

Hi folks - Idealist.org is hosting a webinar for Hiring Managers/Employers with the DOE about Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) for student loan debt on June 12 at Noon EDT. Many colleagues have shared that PSLF has been a difficult program to navigate for loan payers and employers alike. I know the current administration has been working to change that - check out this resource to learn more:

Welcome! You are invited to join a webinar: All Things PSLF for Social Impact Hiring Managers. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the webinar. idealist-org.zoom.us

Our official press release is pending, but we are overjoyed to share that Mountain Housing Opportunities is the recipient of this year's top grant award from the Women for Women Giving Circle housed at The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina. This $125,000 grant - the largest ever awarded by WFW members - will fuel expansion of our Down Payment Assistance Program! This grant will help more low-to-moderate income earning folks - especially women-headed households - achieve their goal of buying a home and get to work building the generational wealth that homeownership can unlock.Collective philanthropy is a powerful tool to make real and direct impact in our local community and we are so grateful to partner with the members of Women for Women here in Western NC. Congratulations to all of this year's awardees! MHO is in great company! #affordablehousing #philanthropy Amanda Frick Keiser Kelly Nossiter Geoffrey Barton
